1st Grade

1st graders have been exploring xylophone and learning about the C scale. They are also working on improvising. To begin, they are improvising a response with their favorite kind of pie vocally. We will turn these vocal responses in to melodies on xylophones in the coming weeks. Here is a brief snapshot of our work today. The goal was to build confidence in taking individual turns, practice thinking of a unique response, and responding in time with the song.
